How to Archive or Delete an Asset

A how to archive or remove data in your assets page

Learn how to tidy up your asset database in UpKeep CMMS with this quick guide. Whether you're archiving for future reference or deleting to declutter, we've got you covered. Remember, deleting is permanent, so archiving is recommended for safe removal of assets. Let's keep your asset management efficient and organized!


How to Archive an Asset

  1. Go to the Assets page via left hand side of screen

  2. Locate the Asset or Assets by searching or filtering for them

  3. Once you have found the asset, click on the asset as if you were going to edit the asset

  4. Click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner

Step 5 : Click Archive

You will be able to filter all of your archived Assets

How to Delete an Asset

๐Ÿšซโš ๏ธWarning: Deleting is permanent! Be cautious when removing items as this action cannot be undone. ๐Ÿšซโš ๏ธ

๐Ÿšซโš ๏ธWarning: Deleting a Parent Asset also Deletes the other Assets in the Hierarchy ๐Ÿšซโš ๏ธ

  1. Go to the Assets page via left hand side of screen

  2. Locate the Asset or Assets by searching or filtering for them

  3. Once you have the list of assets, you will then place a check mark in the white box next to the name OR at the top to multi select all assets

4: Once you put a check mark in the box, you will see at the bottom of the page this message

5: Click "delete" and review the message in the pop up box

6: Click delete. NOTE: This is going to take a moment, and then the box will disappear, it will look like the assets did not delete, but wait a moment and the page will refresh and the assets will be gone.
