How to Edit/Delete time logged on a Work Order

This doc will walk your through how to delete time from a work order and re add the correct time manually.

With current design on our work orders you can log time for a technician either manually or via the timer button. Some times too much time gets logged on a work order and you need to adjust it. In order to adjust or delete time, it will depend on how the time was logged. See the steps below!

Note* Time added via the labor box can only be deleted and then correct time re-added.


How to Edit time that was added via the Time or Timer option

Steps:

  1. You will need to navigate to the work order and open it

  2. Hover over the blue time, and you will see an option that says "edit time" click on the blue time and edit the time that was logged

  3. When done, click the blue check mark, to save the time logged, and you will not see the correct time displayed.

How to Delete time logged under Labor

Steps:

  1. You will need to navigate to the work order and open it

  2. Under Labor click the View Full time log

  3. Locate the persons name and click the down arrow next to their name, and then click the 3 dots next to the time added and click Delete.

  4. What you will see now is a red modified and negative number, and a green added number. This is the tracking history, simply it shows you that time was added and removed.

  5. Go back to the details of the work order, and under labor, you will see the same thing, time added and time removed.

To add the correct time, you can now enter it under Labor if you adding a labor cost to the work order, otherwise you can re add it via the blue +add time. You can also click the button below for steps on how to do this!
