You and your team may operate in several locations or you might have assets stationed in different areas. Use your locations to organize and optimize your team’s workflow. If you have multiple locations, you can quickly add this data into UpKeep using the import feature.
There are two levels of location hierarchy: the Parent Location and Sub-Location. Your Sub-Locations would be more specific areas within the Parent Location.
You can use a CSV, XLS, XLSX, TSV or XML file type
You can also manually enter items to the table under Import
If you need to Update a Location you need to use the ID
You can import Parent and Sub at the same time, but the Parent needs to be higher/listed before sublocation on the sheet.
Please Note** File size is limited to 10MB and names MUST be unique.
To create new Locations download the Location template by navigating to the import page and clicking "Download Template."
To Update Locations select Export Current Locations and makes changes to any columns EXCEPT the ID column. When done save the file for import.
When ready select Start Location Import Process, then select the file you saved from step 3.
Click Upload data from file or enter the data manually in to the table provided below.
*Please note it is possible to have duplicate named records, so we recommend all your locations have unique names.
After uploading the file, make sure the first row contains column names. Click Yes if so.
7. Next Confirm Column Mapping. It is recommended to confirm all mapping or if no updates are happening on a column, to use the Ignore this column option for all fields.
8. View the data you are going to import prior to clicking Finish at the bottom.
Changes can be made from this screen.
You can view errors before you click finish to correct any issues from here.
