UpKeep Safety gives admins direct visibility into how your subscription seats are being used — and a self-serve way to request more when you need them. This article covers how to review seat usage and submit a seat expansion request without waiting on a Sales conversation.


Seat Visibility: Paid vs. Free Roles

Admins can see exactly how each role consumes your UpKeep Safety subscription directly in the Roles list and Users table.

  • Roles list — each role displays whether it consumes a Paid seat or a Free seat

  • Users table — each user row shows their role's seat type at a glance

This makes it easy to audit your license usage without contacting Sales.

Requesting a Seat Expansion

Need more capacity? You can submit a seat expansion request directly from UpKeep Safety — no need to wait to reach your Sales contact to get started.

How to Request Additional Seats

  1. Open UpKeep Safety and navigate to Settings > Subscription

  2. Review your current seat usage — Paid vs. Free seats are displayed here.

  3. Click Request Seat Expansion.

  4. Specify the number of additional seats needed and submit.

  5. Your Sales contact will follow up to complete the change. You'll remain unblocked in the meantime.

Where do I find Subscription Settings?
Navigate to Settings > Subscription

Will Sales still need to approve seat expansions?
Yes — the in-product request routes to your Sales contact to finalize the change. The benefit is that you can initiate the request without waiting to reach Sales directly.

Who can view and manage subscription settings?
Only users with Admin access in UpKeep Safety can view seat usage and submit expansion requests.
