The left navigation panel is the main way to move through UpKeep. It’s organized by product area and gives you quick access to features, settings, and support tools based on your role and permissions.
Main Navigation Sections
The left panel is divided into expandable sections that group related tools together.

Used for day-to-day maintenance work.

Used to track performance and operational data.

Expanding and Collapsing Navigation Sections
Each navigation section includes a toggle arrow on the right side of the section header.
Click the arrow icon (˄ / ˅) to expand or collapse a section
Collapsing sections hides menu items to reduce clutter
Expanding sections shows all available options
This makes it easier to focus on the areas you use most.
Expanded and collapsed sections may remain saved during your session.
Switching Between CMMS and EHS
At the bottom-left corner of the navigation panel, you can switch between products:
CMMS – Maintenance Management
EHS – Environmental, Health & Safety (if enabled)
This allows users to move between CMMS and EHS without logging out.
Bottom Navigation Icons
Along the bottom of the left panel, you’ll see the following icons from left to right:
Product Toggle – Switch between CMMS and EHS
Help ( ? ) – Access UpKeep help articles and resources
Contact Us (chat icon) – Contact UpKeep Support
Manage Subscription – View billing and subscription details (Admins only)
Settings (gear icon) – Manage account settings, roles, and preferences
Some options may only be visible depending on your role and permissions.
Permissions and Visibility
What appears in the left navigation depends on:
Your user role
Assigned permissions
Your subscription plan
If a section or icon is missing, an Admin may need to update your access.
