Simplify managing your inventory by assigning relevant Tags to the files in your parts section. Quickly locate what you need by filtering through your tagged items.

💡Tags enable you to organize each part into multiple categories or groupings.


How to Create Tags

  1. Navigate to your Settings Page

  2. Select the Tags Module

  3. Select Add to create your New Tag

  4. Name your Tag and choose which modules you want the tag to apply to


How to Add Tags to Parts

  1. Select the Desired Part

  2. Go to edit the desired part

  3. Select the Tag(s) in the tags dropdown

  4. Select Save Changes


Best Practices for Using Tags with Parts

  • Keep tags simple and consistent
    Use short, clear terms like “Electrical,” “Spare,” or “Critical”

  • Avoid duplicating categories
    Tags are best used for filtering or grouping across different types of parts — not replacing fields like Location or Category

  • Use tags for search and filters
    Tags make it easier to locate parts when filtering large inventories

  • Set tag naming guidelines
    Create team-wide naming standards to avoid duplicates like “Electrical” vs “electrical”
