UpKeep’s Updates section makes collaboration easy. Use @ mentions to tag team members in comments or updates—perfect for sharing progress, flagging issues, or looping in managers.

This ensures everyone stays informed, involved, and up to date on any changes or important notes tied to a Work Order. Whether you're asking for input or providing status updates, the Updates tab keeps communication centralized and your team connected.


Adding Work Order Update Notes

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Work Orders Tab

  2. Click on the work order you'd like to open

  3. Click on the Updates tab of the Work Order located at the top next to "Details"

  4. Click in the "Write a Message" box and begin leaving your note. This will be visible to all users who have access to this work order.

    1. Attachments: You can add a file for an image here. It will not accept PDF, MP4, or CSV files. JPEG, PNG, GIF. Video files are unable to be uploaded.


How to @ Mention in UpKeep Update Notes

  1. Navigate to the Work Orders Tab

  2. Click on the work order you'd like to open

  3. Click on the Updates tab of the Work Order located at the top next to "Details"

  4. Click in the "Write a Message" box and begin leaving your note. This will be visible to all users who have access to this work order.

  5. Type @, then select the user’s name (Example: @Jane Smith)

  6. If desired, type any other additional details

  7. Select Send

💡You can notify all users assigned to the work order by using @Everyone

You can only @mention users in UpKeep.


FAQs on Updates Section of Work Orders

Can a comment or update be deleted?

Yes, if you created the comment or update, you can delete it. Admins can delete all comments and updates.
