Who can access UpKeep Studio?

UpKeep Studio currently limited to users with the Administrator role.

If you do not have the Administrator role, the Studio tab will not appear in the left-hand navigation panel. If you need access, please contact your organization’s UpKeep Administrator.


Does my whole team see the apps I install in UpKeep Studio?

Apps you install in UpKeep Studio are currently only visible within your individual Studio experience. Other team members cannot see or access the apps you’ve installed.



What types of apps are available in Studio?

UpKeep Studio includes apps designed to support maintenance intelligence, inspections, operations, data quality, and workflow automation.

Examples include:

  • Impact Dashboard – Track KPIs like backlog, PM compliance, and MTTR

  • Paper Work Order Scan – Convert handwritten work orders into structured records

  • Asset Data Quality Auditor – Identify missing or inconsistent asset information

  • Work Order Routing & Dispatch – Optimize technician routes and assignments

  • Vendor Performance Scorecard – Monitor vendor response times and cost performance

New apps are regularly added to the Studio Marketplace.


Do I need a separate login to use Studio?

No. Studio uses the same login credentials as your UpKeep account.


Can I create my own app in Studio?

UpKeep Studio currently supports installing pre-built apps from the Marketplace.

We’re continuing to expand Studio functionality, so check back for future updates.


Is Studio available on mobile?

No. UpKeep Studio is currently web-only and is not available in the mobile app.


Do Studio apps appear in the main UpKeep dashboard?

No. Studio apps are accessed through the Studio interface and do not appear inside the main UpKeep dashboard.


Is UpKeep Studio secure?

Yes. Studio uses the same permissions model and SOC 2 compliance as core UpKeep.


Do Studio apps change my UpKeep configuration?

No. Studio apps are additive and do not modify your core system configuration.

Installing or uninstalling an app does not delete or change your existing records.


Can Studio apps update my data?

Some apps may be designed to update records, such as changing a work order status or editing an assignee.

Any updates made through an app follow your existing user role and permission settings. If your role does not allow you to edit certain records in UpKeep, the app will not be able to update them.


Why don’t I see certain data inside an app?

Studio apps respect your UpKeep role permissions.

If you do not have access to specific records in UpKeep, you will not see them inside Studio apps.


What should I do if an app isn’t working as expected?

Refresh your browser and confirm you are logged into the correct UpKeep account.

If the issue continues, contact UpKeep Support.


Does UpKeep Studio only work for UpKeep CMMS?

No. UpKeep Studio is across domains, meaning you can build apps for EHS, LMS, and Fleet.
