Admins and requesters can now communicate directly through the External Request Portal. This feature allows real-time chat between your team and external requesters, helping clarify requests, share updates, and attach files — all without leaving UpKeep.
For Admins: How to Chat with External Requesters
Go to the Requests tab in your UpKeep account
Select the desired request from your list
On the right-hand side, locate the View dropdown menu
Switch from Internal Updates to External Chat
Use the message box to send replies or attach images/files
Messages will be visible to the external requester through their portal
For Requesters: How to Reply to Admins
Log in to your External Request Portal
Click your Profile icon and select My Requests
Select the request you’d like to communicate about
Tap Messages to open the chat window
Type your message or attach images/files as needed to respond to the admin
