By using Meters, you can quickly have work orders appear for work that needs to be done according to meter readings. For example: say you need to change the oil on a motor every 16,000 hrs and you log those hours through a Meter. You can have a work order fire off, the moment 16,000 hours has been entered.

This article explains how to import your meter work order triggers in bulk so you don't need to create them individually.

NOTE: Your METERS must already be created and exist within your UpKeep account in order to import meter triggers.

Please Note** File size is limited to 10MB and names MUST be unique.

There is a Guide below that tells you exactly how to fill in each column.

How to Import Meter Triggers

  1. Navigate to the Meters section

  2. Click on the 3 vertical dot options

  3. Then click on Import Meter Triggers

  4. Here, you can click Download Sample Template to download the template needed for this import

  5. Open the CSV file in Excel/Google Sheets

  6. Do not add, remove, or change any heads in Row 1

  7. Add your data beginning with Row 2

  8. Save the CSV file once you're done

  9. Upload the CSV on the same page you downloaded the template!

NOTE: The maximum number of triggers you can import at one time is 200 (or 200 rows at a time) but there is no overall limit in UpKeep to how many triggers you may have.
